How Do You Like Your Eggs In The Morning?

No answers come. He find less answers to life, as the years march by, though from the corner of his eye he occasionally notices questions that make him see the world in a different light. This way the question becomes a koan (n. a riddle used in Zen Buddhism to demonstrate the inadequacy of logical reasoning.). Of course, illogical reasoning is equally inadequate in the pursuit of accuracy (avoiding the word ”truth”) though it has shown itself to be an excellent way of getting the majority to follow the demagogue’: (or even Rupert Murdoch) path. On the other hand, one can learn as much from a lie as one can from the t….

As for experience, he can have trust in it only if he is confident of his interpretation of it; and experience tells him that he cannot rely on his interpretation of experience any more than he can rely on any one else’s (though, of course, he does). After all, he can’t stay in bed with the covers pulled over his head forever … so he just has to gamble that his appallingly inadequate powers of experiential interpretation, no matter how misguided, won’t lead him to a painful, disastrously disruptive and inconveniently early demise before he’s had a chance of a decent breakfast (Kellogg’s shareholders are relying on his for their next dividendl).

He pours another coffee and giving thanks (to the chicken) he smiles; it is a spiritual journey after all.
