Lost and Found

Lost and found
was I that night
you teasing me,
the scarcity of my inscribed kiss
feeling the furnace glow
the tender flame
on the slender bed
how with no breath left
to be afraid
we cried inside
relief and understanding
my sense of you
found such honesty
our natural belief

lost and found
was I remembering this
on a plane home
too far away in time
too far away to hold your hand
but still I wrote
too late for your reply
too late to ask why?
too late was I
the faithful hound
tearing the hid assassin of love
to shreds
too late to tell you
any of this.

A dialectical site of poetry, painting and the odd musical excursion into the unknown.
