Nine o’clock after a storm of tears
and bed time, soothing talk
of things to do tomorrow,
and a laugh about the things
we did today, followed by a story
from a book with pictures,
then she settles down,
her arms around my neck,
and pauses between questions
as she thinks her way to sleep
with bubbles in her hair.

Nice picture Lee, thanks for sharing.
:) This is my daughter, she is the apple of her daddy’s eye… occasionally I catch her radiance smile…and the bubbles in her hair
How old is she?
She is 8 years old, younger in some ways, older in others lol.
Good for you Lee, she will taking care of you at the old days.
I’d like to see her grow and live her life to her fullest dream, and she certainly is a dreamer like me. I think she may be a writer, pop queen or a vet, yes there’s a very sensible profession :)
She’s such a beautiful girl. =)
Lovely poem, too. xx
I look at my daughter and see her dreaming of her whole life before her. All I can do is hold her and tell her everything will be alright.
Very sweet and lovely.
Some photos makes me smile a lot. This is one.
