Before I went to bed
There was jeweled sea-glitter
Surging under a big moon
But the gale had withered in the night.
I lie awake in the early morning hours
High up under the roof beams,
The tide out;
Cries of gull and sandpiper
Come up faintly from the seashore
And gently populate the morning
As I lie I dream the shore
Stretching away into the mist,
Towards the endless dream.

Thank you so much Francina, I think this was where I began, though I don’t quite remember.
