Hope is a human concept,
animals do not hope,
they have no need to
they just accept what is,
take no thought for the morrow
or gods who sport with them
from golden clouds above.
Hope is a human concept,
animals do not hope,
yet they may sorrow,
be desperately fond,
prove great loyalty
and some have taught
bereaved and rejected people
how to love again.

Hope is a cornerstone of mine but it can get you in a tangle when you hold on for sure….. Balancing hope with acceptance is my way forward in 2012. Thank you for prompting this thought.
2013!
I agree with your thoughts, hope is a entanglement and a necessary ingredient to living – for me it’s intrinsic to day to day functioning. It’s one of those paradoxes.
But you are right, there is a way forward and I have a positive feeling, a hope, that 2013 will be a prosperous year for writing. I wish you every success in all you do.
Lol, where did 2012 go?
it ran away in so many directions with the usual mix of highs and lows . . I think I like that in hindsight and woulnt expect it to be any other way…. balance is’ it all’ after all…heres to 2013 and all it has to offer and all there is to be found.
Here here :)

Animals/pets are great healers.
And my dog taught me many things about unconditional love. =)x
Indeed, animals make loving and faithful companions to our lives.
I was looking for the post ‘It comes with age’…. I found this. Powerful. I often think humans need to learn so much from animals… from nature.
It comes with age was removed as incomplete. It seems I’ve not finishes with aging just yet lol :)
Oh, that’s what I thought… :)
I agree, I spent a large portion of my childhood with dogs and had much affection with them, its got something to do with the quality of their friendship. Can we humans ever match that?
