I’m not drunk on you yet
Universe, although I’m trying,
Knocking back each breath
Like a double whiskey.
Because your body’s beauty
Strikes terror through me,
Falling upwards towards you
Lost, into the night sky.
I’m not drunk on you yet
Universe, although I’m trying,
Knocking back each breath
Like a double whiskey.
Because your body’s beauty
Strikes terror through me,
Falling upwards towards you
Lost, into the night sky.

Too hot to sleep. I just heard the first thunder crack…. Wonderful
Yes it was close last night, though I do like the drama of thunder and lightning…
I was told one time
If I was to let go of all expectations and romance life
it would romance me back….
since then I have had a wonderful time dancing with the Universe…
I hadn’t thought of being drunk on it, but then…..
for some reason I hear such a haunting music in the background….
it is wonderful though….
Good post Lee…..a thought to think upon and get lost …again
Take Care…

I really like your image of dancing underneath the stars, my mind dances and whirls around in spirals… thus my analogy with becoming intoxicated. So when I look up to the night sky I feel blood pulsing in my veins.
My highland ancestors saw the universe very differently, they must have felt undeniable delight in the theatre of lights. Did they see it with awe and wonder we feel? Did they find inspiration this canopy, to paint, to dance, to make love?
These questions, for me, reside at the heart of our human search for completion.
